Fantastic magic camp

Children gathered in front of a stage with rainbow-colored curtains, watching a magician perform on stage at Fantastic Magic Camp.

My story with Fantastic Magic Camp began in 1993, when Kent Cummins created the camp and I became one of its early campers. I was only 11 when the camp opened and I quickly aged out of the camper program, but I wasn't quite ready to leave. Instead, I became one of the camp's first Counselors-In-Training, beginning a relationship with Fantastic Magic Camp that has now spanned more than three decades. What started as a young magician discovering a place to learn, perform, and surround myself with people who shared my love of magic eventually grew into a commitment to help ensure that experience continues for future generations.

Years later, I had the incredible experience of watching my own daughter follow that same path—from camper, to Counselor-In-Training, to Counselor and Teacher. Today, I am proud to serve as both a board member and co-owner of Fantastic Magic Camp, helping guide the camp I first attended as a 11-year-old. Few things in my life have come full circle quite like this. I started as a kid learning magic at camp, watched my daughter grow up through the same program, and now have the privilege of helping shape its future. Fantastic Magic Camp isn't simply a place I've been involved with—it has been a part of my family and my life for more than 30 years.
